Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan is one of the most-anticipated sequel movies this year. Billed as an action thriller drama, the film is second part of Prithviraj's directorial debut movie 'Lucifer'. The film was released in 2019, and declared as a block-buster hit at the box-office. According to latest reports, the film will be released in theaters in August 2023.
2023, will be a greatful year for actor Mohanlal with handful of projects. After a long wait, director Jeethu Joseph announced his plan to direct Drishyam 3 on last year. Starring Mohanlal in lead roles, the film is the threequel of 2013 film Drishyam. The second part of the film 'Drishyam 2: The Resumption, that is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The much-awaited film 'Drishyam 3: The Conclusion' will hit the theaters on this year end.

After the massive success of 'Eesho' Jayasurya will be come back to the industry with his upcoming comedy drama 'Aadu 3'. Touted to be a comedy drama, Aadu 3 is the sequel to his movie Aadu. Made up-with a big-budget, the first half and climax is completed. It is currently working on the post-interval session. Aadu 3 features Jayasurya, Sunny Wayne and Vinayakan in lead roles.
Minnal Murali is a first superhero film in Malayalam, has received good responses from audience and critics. Directed by Basil Joseph that featured actor Tovino Thomas in dual roles was a box-office hit movie. As per the latest resources, the sequel part 'Minnal Murali 2' will be released in theaters in November 2023.
