Most Anticipated Upcoming Malayalam Action-thriller Films 2023

Kasargold is one of the most-anticipated action thrillers starring Asif  Ali in the lead role, it is directed by Mridul Nair, and is his second collaboration with Asif Ali, following their successful debut film 'B-Tech'. Saturday Night fame Malavika Sreenath will be seen in the female lead in the movie. Apart from Asif Ali and Malavika Sreenath, 'Kasargold' features actors  Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Sreeranjini Nair., Deepak Parambol, Druvan, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Prashant Murali and Sagar Surya. Written by Sajimon Prabhakar, the movie is bankrolled by Yoodlee Films and Mukhari Entertainment LLP.  Kasargold is all set to hit the theaters on September 15, 2023.

Tovino Thomas starrer 'Nadikar Thilakam' helmed by Lal Junior will hit the big screen this year. Along with Tovino Thomas actors Soubin Shahir, Veena Nandakumar, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Sreenath Bhasi, Anoop Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, Lal, and Madhupal will be seen in prominent roles. Suvin Somasekharan wrote the script for the movie, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers Limited. The film has songs composed by akzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair. Alby Antony is the cinematographer and edits are done by Ratheesh Raj.

Bazooka, starring Mammootty in the lead role, will explore the emtotions of vengeance and greedy. Directed by debutant Deeno Dennis, the film also features  Tamil director Gautham Menon,  Sidharth Bharthan, Shine Tom Chacko and V.K.Praksah. Minnal Murali fame Vasisht Umesh will be seen in a prominent role in the upcoming thriller drama. Bankrolled by Theatre of Dreams and Yoodlee Films, the film will be released in theaters next year.

This upcoming action-thriller directed  by Arun Gopy and features actor Dileep in the lead role. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia will be seen in the female lead role, 'Bandra' will mark her acting debut in Malayalam cinema. Written by Udaykrishnan and produced under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, marks the 147th movie in Dileep’s career. Apart from Dileep and  Tamannaah Bhatia, Bandra features actors Mamta Mohandas, Dino Morea, Lena, Rajveer Ankur Singh, Dara Singh Khurana and Amit Tiwari in the  supporting roles. If reports are to be believed, the film will be released in theaters this November.

L2: Empuran is the sequel to Mohanlal's 2019 release Lucifer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The script written by Murali Gopy, L2: Empuran marked the second directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran. Made on budgets of more than Rs 400 crores, the film will be released in theaters this year. Mohanlal plays lead role in the movie, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under his production house Ashirvad Films.The other cast include Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar and Saniya Iyappan.
