Sushmita Sen Heart Attack: What Happened To Sushmita Sen and How She Recovered

Sushmita Sen (born November 19, 1975) is an Indian actress as well as a model who made her acting debut in the 1996 film Dastak. She has since appeared in numerous films and is known for her signature performances in Main Hoon Na, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, and numerous other Bollywood blockbusters. She also worked on films in Bengali and Tamil, including Nirbaak in 2015 and Ratchagan in 1997. With this movie Nirbaak, she undertook filming webseries and TV shows instead of further feature films.

Sushmita Sen, the very first Indian to win the Miss Universe title at the age of 19, has served as an encouragement and inspiration for girls and women all over the world ever since. Although she grew up in the spotlight, she has always made her own decisions and refused to give in to societal pressures.

She posted on her Instagram account, "sushmitasen47," that "keep your heart happy & courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona." I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back… Angioplasty done…stent in place… and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart'. But she is now fine and no longer at risk of having a heart attack, which brought her fans to tears of joy.

Sushmita Sen suddenly faded from view after receiving an Addison's disease diagnosis in 2014. Her online series Aarya, she explained in a recent interview, was the "light at the end of the tunnel" after the toughest five years of her life.
