Akshay's Joker 7 day collection lesser than ETT 1st day business

Akshay Kumar's latest release Joker has bombed at the Box Office in India. The Shirish Kunder directed-movie, which opened to a poor response, has concluded the first week with Rs 21 crore at the collection centres in India. Its seven days total is not even equal to the first day collection of Salman Khan's recent movie Ek Tha Tiger, which had raked in Rs 32.92 crore on its opening day.

Joker received a very dismal response at the Box Office on its opening in country. Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer was expected to witness a big jump in its business on Saturday and Sunday. But negative reviews and bad word of mouth played spoilsport at the collection centres. The film ended the first weekend with Rs 15.75 crore nett. Its first weekend breakup is Rs 5 cr on Fri, Rs 4.75 cr on Sat and Rs 6 cr on Sun.

The fantasy adventure movie witnessed a considerable amount of dip in its business on the weekdays. Joker added Rs 5.75 to its first week total collection Rs 21.50 crore at the Indian Box Office. The breakup of its weekdays business is Rs 1.65 cr on Mon, Rs 1.35 cr on Tue, Rs 1.85 cr on Wed and Rs 90 lakhs on Thu.

Despite having big stars like Akshay Kumar, massive promotions and good production values, Joker has turned out to be a big disaster at the Box Office. The loss of the movie is the gain of Ek Tha Tiger, which collected Rs 10.20 crore in the third week of its release, taking its total collection to Rs 195.03 crore nett.
