Cocktail
has
opened
to
a
terrific
response
at
the
Box
Office
in
India.
According
to
Taran
Adarsh,
the
film
has
collected
approximately
Rs
11
crore
nett
at
the
collection
centres
in
the
country.
With
this,
Saif
Ali
Khan
and
Deepika
Padukone
starrer
has
become
the
highest
grosser
romantic
comedy
of
the
year
2012.
Since
its
story
is
set
in
a
foreign
country,
Cocktail
was
released
in
maximum
number
of
multiplexes
when
compared
to
single
screens
in
the
country.
The
film
has
registered
90%
to
100%
occupancy
at
the
multiplexes
across
the
country.
Taran
Adarsh
tweeted,
"#Cocktail
*early
estimates*
Friday
around
10.75
cr
to
11
cr.
Major
contribution
from
plexes,
limited
single
screen
release."
Cocktail
has
broken
the
first
day
collection
record
of
this
year's
biggest
romantic
comedy
Ek
Main
Aur
Ekk
Tu
and
romance
drama
Teri
Meri
Kahaani,
which
had
raked
in
Rs
5.25
crores
and
Rs
7.23
crores
nett,
respectively.
But
the
film
has
failed
to
beat
the
first
day
record
of
recent
comedy
films
Bol
Bachchan
and
romantic
action
movie
Rowdy
Rathore,
which
had
collected
Rs
12.10
crores
and
Rs
15.06
crores
nett,
respectively.
However,
the
romantic
comedy
Cocktail
is
a
perfect
precise
package
of
all
emotions
put
together.
People
are
in
love
with
the
movie
for
its
freshness
and
brilliant
locations
and
clothes.
Audiences
cannot
stop
raving
about
the
stars,
music
and
dialogues.
The
concoction
between
the
three
and
the
subtle
bond
of
friendship
is
what
the
fans
love
the
most
in
the
movie.
