Cocktail beats Kareena's EMAET, Shahid's TMK record at BO

Latest Bollywood movie Cocktail has opened to a terrific response at the Box Office in India. According to Taran Adarsh, the film has collected approximately Rs 11 crore nett at the collection centres in the country. With this, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer has become the highest grosser romantic comedy of the year 2012.

Since its story is set in a foreign country, Cocktail was released in maximum number of multiplexes when compared to single screens in the country. The film has registered 90% to 100% occupancy at the multiplexes across the country. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Cocktail‬ *early estimates* Friday around 10.75 cr to 11 cr. Major contribution from plexes, limited single screen release."

Cocktail has broken the first day collection record of this year's biggest romantic comedy Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and romance drama Teri Meri Kahaani, which had raked in Rs 5.25 crores and Rs 7.23 crores nett, respectively. But the film has failed to beat the first day record of recent comedy films Bol Bachchan and romantic action movie Rowdy Rathore, which had collected Rs 12.10 crores and Rs 15.06 crores nett, respectively.

However, the romantic comedy Cocktail is a perfect precise package of all emotions put together. People are in love with the movie for its freshness and brilliant locations and clothes. Audiences cannot stop raving about the stars, music and dialogues. The concoction between the three and the subtle bond of friendship is what the fans love the most in the movie.
