Life Of Pi affects Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Son Of Sardar collection

English movie Life Of Pi, which released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, has topped the collection chart at the Box Office in India in the first weekend. The Ang Lee directed movie has sent down the business of last week's releases like Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) and Son Of Sardar (SOS) at the domestic collection centres.

Life Of Pi, which hit the screens on November 23, received a positive reviews from film critics. The film opened to a good response on Friday and it collected Rs 3.49 crores nett, which includes its business in previews on Thursday. It showed a big jump in its business its collection reaching Rs 4.57 cr on Sat and Rs 5.6 cr on Sun. It has collected a total of Rs 13.66 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend.

Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardar, which was in the second place in the last weekend, remained in the same spot in the business chart at the domestic Box Office. But its collection has dipped by 60% to 70% in the second weekend, when compared to its first day business. In the second weekend, it has added Rs 11.8 crores to its 13 day total Rs 95.05 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 3.05 cr on Fri, Rs 3.80 cr on Sat and Rs 4.95 cr on Sun.

Whereas Shahrukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which had topped the chart last weekend, has fallen to third spot in the second weekend. This romance drama has dropped by 80% and its second weekend total is not even equal to its first day collection. It has added Rs 11.03 crores to its 13 day total Rs 109.44 crores nett at the domestic Box Office. Its breakup is Rs 2.75 cr on Fri, Rs 3.62 cr on Sat and Rs 4.66 cr on Sun.
