Bollywood
movie
Rowdy
Rathore,
which
features
Akshay
Kumar
and
Sonakshi
Sinha
in
the
leads,
has
had
a
wonderful
week
at
the
Box
Office.
The
action
thriller
film
has
smashed
collection
record
of
Akki's
previous
film
Housefull
2,
but
it
has
failed
to
beat
the
first
week
record
of
Hrithik
Roshan's
Agneepath.
Agneepath,
which
was
released
on
Thursday
on
January
26,
had
raked
in
Rs
21.76
crores
on
the
first
day.
The
movie
had
collected
a
total
of
Rs
62.11
crores
over
its
extended
four-day
weekend.
But
its
business
fell
down
drastically
on
the
weekdays
with
the
film
adding
another
Rs
23.77
crores
to
its
first
week's
total
collection
Rs
85.88
crores.
Whereas,
Rowdy
Rathore,
which
had
its
worldwide
release
on
June
1,
scored
Rs
15.1
crores
on
the
first
day.
The
film
did
well
on
Saturday
and
its
collection
reached
Rs
48.3
crores
in
the
first
weekend.
But
unlike
Agneepath,
this
film
continued
to
do
well
on
the
weekdays
too.
It
grossed
Rs
79.52
crores
nett
in
week
one.
The
breakup
of
its
collection
is
15.1
cr
on
Fri,
14.7
cr
on
Sat,
18.5
cr
on
Sun,
9.5
cr
on
Mon,
8.12
cr
on
Tue,
7.1
cr
on
Wed,
6.5
cr
Thu.
However,
Akshay
Kumar's
previous
film
Housefull
2,
which
was
released
on
April
5,
2012,
had
collected
Rs
63.63
crores
in
extended
eight-day
week.
It
has
joined
the
league
of
100
crore
movies.
In
a
way
his
latest
movie
Rowdy
Rathore
has
beaten
the
record
of
Agneepath,
when
compared
to
the
seven
days
total
of
Hrithik
starrer.
