Director Kabir Khan's most-hyped movie Ek Tha Tiger has become a big blockbuster movie at the worldwide Box Office in just two weeks. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has erased all previous records and set its own new benchmark at the collection centres in Indian and international market. Now, the film is all set to beat the lifetime collection record of Shahrukh Khan's hit flick Ra.One.
Ek Tha Tiger opened to an earth-shattering response in India and even two weeks after its release the movie continued to keep the bells ringing at the Box Office in the country. The romantic action flick has raked in Rs 191.34 crores nett at the domestic collection centres in 19 days. In a very short period, the film has become a highest grosser movie in the history of Indian cinema.
Salman-Katrina starrer has also done superb business in the international market. Ek Tha Tiger has raked in Rs 13.57 crores ($2,431,185) in the USA, Rs 11.88 crores (£13,50,396) in the UK, Rs 7.39 crores in the UAE, Rs 3.48 crores (A$6,11,794) in Australia, Rs 99.02 lakhs (NZ$2,23,190) in New Zealand and Rs 8 lakhs (FJD 26,062) in Fiji. The movie has collected a total of Rs 37.39 crore nett at the overseas Box Office in the third weekend.
Ek Tha Tiger has collected Rs 228.73 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in 19 days. The collection of the movie is very close to beat the lifetime record of Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Ra.One, which has raked in Rs 240 crores at the worldwide collection centres. Now, the question is that will Ek Tha Tiger beat the record of Ra.One?
Trade analysts' answer to this question is yes. Ek Tha Tiger will surely beat the lifetime record of Ra.One. The Salman-Katrina starrer needs Rs 11+ crores to surpass the mark, set by the Ra.One. But it might take at least 10 days as its collection has slipped down to below Rs 1 crore mark on Monday on which day it has grossed Rs 88 lakhs at Indian Box Office.
