The Amazing Spider Man beats Maximum at Box Office

The Amazing Spider Man has received an overwhelming response at the Indian Box Office. Hollywood 3D movie has beaten the latest Hindi release Maximum at the collection centres in the country. The English film has raked in Rs 29.10 crores nett, while the Hindi movie collected just Rs 2 crores.

Spider Man films are a very popular series in India. The Amazing Spider Man is the latest movie in the series and movie buffs were eagerly waiting to watch it. The movie, which released on June 29 in the country, registered very good occupancy on Friday with its collection reaching Rs 8.50 crores nett. Its business improved with the film grossing Rs 9.60 crores nett on Saturday and Rs 11 crores nett on Sunday.

Whereas, Maximum starring popular actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Sonu Sood, Neha Dhupia and Vinay Pathak, lacked promotions and it opened to very low response. Its business was badly affected by The Amazing Spider Man. The Hindi movie has collected Rs 2 crores + nett in its opening weekend.

However, previous week's release Gangs Of Wasseypur maintained very well at the Box Office in the second weekend. Despite the 'Spider-Man' wave. The film added Rs 4.25 crores nett to its 10-day total collection Rs 22 crores nett. Whereas, another previous week's release Teri Meri Kahaani crashed completely and added Rs 3 crores nett to its 10-day total to Rs 26 crores nett.
