David
Dhawan's
latest
directorial
venture
Chashme
Baddoor
has
struck
gold
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Despite
having
tough
battle
with
Jr
NTR's
Baadshah
in
South
India,
the
Ali
Zafar,
Siddharth,
Taapsee
and
Divyendu
starrer
has
topped
the
domestic
collection
chart
with
its
wonderful
business
in
the
first
weekend.
This
adult
comedy
has
beaten
the
records
of
Ali
and
Sid's
previous
Hindi
movies.
Chashme
Baddoor,
which
had
created
lot
of
curiosity
among
the
film
goers
prior
its
release,
opened
to
a
decent
response
with
its
occupancy
ranging
between
35%
and
45%
on
Friday.
With
positive
reviews
and
good
word
of
mouth
going
viral
on
the
micro-blogging
sites,
the
movie
saw
good
improvement
in
its
business
in
every
circuit
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
While
it
did
superb
collection
in
North
India,
its
business
seemed
to
be
affected
by
Telugu
movie
Baadshah
in
the
South.
Chashme
Baddoor
has
collected
Rs
19.20
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
Trade
analysts
feel
that
it
is
rocking
business
for
a
movie,
which
does
not
feature
any
superstar
in
lead.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
5.18
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
6.27
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
7.75
cr
on
Sun.
Bollywood
trade
experts
say
that
it
is
summer
vacation
for
schools
and
collages
and
Chashme
Baddoor
is
likely
to
do
well
on
weekdays
too.
Its
collection
may
come
closer
to
Rs
40
crore
mark
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
It
should
be
seen
how
it
will
perform
at
ticket
counters
on
weekdays.
