Grand
Masti
has
been
slammed
by
the
many
film
critics,
but
their
remarks
did
not
deter
the
adult
comedy
film
from
working
wonders
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
In
seven
days,
the
Vivek
Oberoi,
Aftab
Shivadasani
and
Riteish
Deshmukh
starrer
has
done
much
better
business
than
what
critically-acclaimed
film
Satyagraha
could
not
do
in
the
domestic
market
in
three
weeks.
With
its
promos
that
soared
up
viewers'
expectations
to
sky
high,
Grand
Masti
opened
to
a
fantastic
start
in
the
domestic
market
on
Friday.
The
movie
registered
an
average
of
65%
to
75%
occupancy
on
its
opening
day
and
it
showed
very
good
growth
on
Saturday
and
Sunday
too.
It
collected
Rs
40.18
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
12.51
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
13.21
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
14.46
cr
on
Sun.
As
usual
Grand
Masti
witnessed
dip
in
its
business
on
Monday,
but
its
collection
was
on
par
with
the
business
of
many
biggies.
It
held
well
on
the
following
days.
The
movie
raked
in
Rs
27.05
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
on
the
weekdays,
taking
its
seven-day
domestic
total
to
Rs
67.05
crores
nett.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
7.75
cr
on
Mon,
Rs
7.35
cr
on
Tue,
Rs
6.25
cr
on
Wed
and
Rs
5.70
cr
on
Thu.
Two
much-hyped
movies
like
Phata
Poster
Nikla
Hero
and
The
Lunchbox
have
hit
the
screens
today.
Since
they
belong
to
different
genre,
they
will
not
affect
the
collection
of
Grand
Masti
in
the
second
week.
The
adult
comedy
film
will
surely
set
a
new
record
by
surpassing
Rs
100
crore
mark
in
the
domestic
market.
