Shahrukh
Khan's
most-anticipated
movie
Chennai
Express,
which
has
hit
the
screens
across
the
globe
today,
has
received
an
earth-shattering
opening
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
SRK
mania
is
at
its
peak
at
the
ticket
counters.
Trade
experts
say
that
the
Rohit
Shetty-directed
film,
which
has
released
in
3,500
screens
in
the
country,
will
beat
the
first
day
collection
record
of
Salman
Khan's
Ek
Tha
Tiger.
Chennai
Express
is
one
of
the
most-hyped
and
highly-anticipated
movie
of
Bollywood
in
2013.
The
promo
of
the
film
has
soared
up
the
viewers'
expectations
to
sky
high.
SRK
fans
were
desperately
waiting
to
watch
the
movie.
Most
of
the
tickets
were
sold
in
many
multiplexes
within
hours
after
the
advance
ticket
booking
opened.
As
per
the
sources,
tickets
for
the
first
weekend
have
been
sold
in
most
of
the
multiplexes
in
all
the
metro
cities.
The
Shahrukh
Khan-Deepika
Padukone
starrer
has
also
managed
to
drive
unprecedented
crowd
outside
single
screens
across
the
country.
The
theatres
screening
Chennai
Express
were
seen
overflowing
with
people
within
and
outside
in
the
morning
and
matinee
shows.
The
film
has
registered
100%
occupancy
in
both
single
screens
and
multiplexes
across
the
country.
Many
theatres
across
the
country
were
showing
'housefull
board'
hours
before
the
morning
show
began.
Some
Shahrukh
fans,
who
wanted
to
watch
Chennai
Express
in
first
show
on
the
first
day,
were
upset
for
not
getting
tickets.
Few
of
them
even
tried
to
buy
black
tickets,
which
cost
them
more
than
Rs
1,000.
Salman
Khan's
Blockbuster
movie
Ek
Tha
Tiger,
which
was
released
in
3,500
screens
on
August
15,
2012,
had
collected
Rs
32.92
croress
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
on
its
opening
day.
So
far,
this
has
been
biggest
opener
in
the
history
and
Agneepath
is
in
the
second
place
with
its
collection
Rs
23
crores.
Trade
analysts
feel
that
as
per
early
trends,
Chennai
Express
would
surely
beat
the
first
day
collection
of
Ek
Tha
Tiger.
