Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani crosses Rs 100 cr mark at Box Office
Mumbai: Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in leads, has continued to keep the bells ringing at the Box Office on weekdays. The Ayan Mukerji and Karan Johar's second combo movie has almost surpassed Rs 100 crore mark at worldwide Box Office in just four days. It has become the second fastest Rs 100 crore grosser Hindi film, with Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger topping the list.
The Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer had done record breaking business in the first weekend. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had collected Rs 62.11 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in three days. The movie showed a dip of 40% on Monday and added Rs 13 crores to its four-day grand total Rs 75.11 crores nett. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani is rewriting the rules of the game. A double digit [13 cr] Monday? Most biggies don't reach that number on Sunday..."
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had collected approximately Rs 22.10 crores ($3.9 million) from its screen in foreign countries like USA, UK, UAE, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The movie has been getting superb response at the ticket windows in these countries on weekdays. As per early trends, the movie has raked in approximately Rs 2.8 crores at the Overseas Box Office on Monday, taking its total to Rs 24.90 crores. With this, its worldwide total stands at Rs 100.01 crores nett.
