Bollywood
movie
Jai
Ho
starring
Salman
Khan
and
Daisy
Shah
in
leads
has
concluded
the
first
week
with
good
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Trade
expert
had
predicted
that
its
seven
day
collection
would
be
closer
to
the
mark
of
Rs
200
crore,
but
the
action
drama
has
failed
to
surpass
even
Rs
100
crore
mark
in
the
domestic
market.
It
has
also
failed
to
beat
the
records
of
Salman
Khan's
previous
hit
films.
Released
in
4,400
screens
in
the
domestic
market
on
January
24,
Jai
Ho
opened
to
overwhelming
response
in
both
single
screens
and
multiplexes.
Though
it
had
huge
screen
count
and
good
amount
of
occupancy
that
ranged
between
80%
and
90%
on
the
first
day,
it
could
not
beat
the
first
day
business
record
of
Salman
Khan's
Ek
Tha
Tiger,
which
had
raked
in
Rs
32.92
crores
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Despite
getting
positive
word
of
mouth,
Jai
Ho
could
not
show
improvements.
Rather
its
collection
dipped
on
Saturday.
The
movie
picked
up
well
on
Sunday,
but
it
was
not
up
to
the
mark.
It
witnessed
nearly
40%
fall
on
Monday
and
its
business
continued
to
dip
through
on
the
following
weekdays.
Trade
experts
opine
that
the
movie
has
registered
decent
amount
of
occupancy
on
all,
but
due
to
its
low
ticket
price,
its
numbers
are
low
on
all
days.
Jai
Ho
has
collected
Rs
88.58
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
week
and
its
break
up
is
Rs
17.75
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
16.68
cr
on
Sat,
Rs
26.25
cr
on
Sun,
Rs
9.50
cr
on
Mon,
Rs
7.30
cr
on
Tue,
Rs
5.80
cr
on
Wed,
Rs
5.30
cr
on
Thu.
Its
seven
day
collection
is
little
more
than
what
Salman
Khan's
previous
outings
like
Dabangg,
Bodyguard,
Ek
Tha
Tiger
and
Dabangg
2
had
earned
in
their
opening
weekend.
