Salman Khan's Kick has crossed the 100 crore mark and as had a total collection of Rs 115 crores as of Monday. Counting the Tuesday's collections which are predicted to be Rs 20-25 crores, the movie seems to be having a good run at the Box Office.
The movie has not fared well on the overseas Box Office but it's not too bad either, Ranbir Kapoor's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani itself collected more than Rs 18 crores in the first weekend, so we expected more from Salman's film. After 5 days Kick Box Office collection is ahead of Chennai Express but behind Dhoom 3 however Chennai express had a holiday benefit on its 7th day.
But when it comes to the overseas market Kick has failed to beat Chennai Express as the latter had collected Rs 50.47 crores nett ($8.25 million) at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend. Kick's collection in the first weekend is not even half of Chennai Express collections.
Coming to Kick's performance, the movie has fared best in UK, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Kick biz witnesses MASSIVE growth in UK. Fri+Sat+Sun: £ 239,850, Mon £ 224,893. Total: £ 464,743 [₹ 4.74 cr]. AWESOME!"
According to him the movie has fared quite well and has collected almost Rs 18 crores, he also tweeted, "EXCLUSIVE OVERSEAS DATA: #Kick fares very well, collects over $ 3 mn [Rs 18 cr]."
But Tuesday being Eid, the movie managed to mint a lot of money both in domestic market as well as overseas. While the data of yesterday's collection is not yet out, the movie has collected almost Rs 24 crores as of Monday, trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, "As the Eid festivities began yesterday, #Kick biz zooms up in international markets. Overseas total till Mon: $ 4 million [₹ 24.05 cr]."
