Box Office: Satyaprem Ki Katha Sees A Solid Jump On Day 11; 72 Hoorain, Neeyat Struggle Even On Sunday
Box Office: Satyaprem Ki Katha starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the lead, has been keeping a strong hold at the box office even in its second week. Released on June 29, the romantic film on Sunday, day 11, saw a huge increase in its numbers.
Whereas the newest releases, 72 Hoorain and Neeyat, are struggling at the theatres to pull in audiences. Both had their theatrical releases on July 7. 72 Hoorain has had a miserable time at the box office, while Neeyat performed slightly better. Let's take a look at how these films are doing, respectively.
Satyaprem Ki Katha box office day 11 collection
Satyaprem Ki Katha has managed to remain strong in its second week as well. With an earning of Rs 4.75 crore, the film on Sunday saw another higher jump. On day 1, Satyaprem Ki Katha minted around 9.5 cores. Since then, it has seen a drop in its collection, but the film was able to cross the 60-crore mark on Saturday, June 8.
On day 11, Sunday, Kartik Aaryan's film collected Rs 5.25 crore, taking its overall figure to Rs 66.06 crore at the domestic box office. It had an overall 24.85 percent Hindi occupancy on July 9.
72 Hoorain day 3 box office collection
Sanjay Puran Singh's directorial film, 72 Hoorian, though it created a lot of buzz given the controversies it got embroiled in, continues to struggle to rake in numbers. With a disappointing opening day 1, the film, which talks about the dark side of terrorism, on its third day has crawled to mint around Rs 1 crore.
On Day 1, Friday, 72 Hoorian earned only Rs 0.35 crore (35 lakh), while it saw a slight rise on Day 2 with a collection of Rs 0.44 crore. As per reports, the film on day 3 has managed to make Rs 0.47 crore, which makes its total collection reach Rs 1 crore.
Neeyat day 3 box office collection
Vidya Balan's murder mystery movie Neeyat, which opened on July 7, earned Rs 1 crore. Directed by Anu Menon, the film, with a little increase on Saturday, day 2, made around 1.62 crore. As per the industry tracker, the thriller minted Rs 1.55 crore on day 3, Sunday, taking its total collection to Rs 4.19 crore.
No doubt, Kartik and Kiara's romantic movie Satyaprem Ki Katha is ahead of the new releases, while Neeyat and 72 Hoorain might soon wash out of theatres.
