Chandni
Chowk
To
China
was
touted
to
be
this
year's
first
big
money
spinner.
Coming
after
Rab
Ne
Bana
Di
Jodi
and
Ghajini
it
was
expected
to
complete
a
hat-trick
at
the
Box
Office.
But
Akshay
Kumar
and
his
Chinese
stunts
did
not
impress
the
audience
and
the
movie
bombed
at
the
BO.
But
Emraan
Hashmi
has
once
again
lived
upto
his
dark
horse
tag
with
his
thriller
Raaz
The
Mystery
Continues.
A
good
start
to
the
year
is
very
important
to
the
industry
as
it
sets
up
a
good
pace
for
the
rest
of
the
year.
The
distributors
had
dropped
their
shoulders
after
the
failure
of
CC2C
but
Emraan
provided
them
the
much
needed
relief.
Raaz
The
Mystery
Continues
not
only
fetched
a
good
start
in
the
metros
and
multiplexes
but
also
impressed
the
audience
in
the
small
towns
and
single
screen
theatres.
This
is
not
the
first
time
that
Emraan
has
delivered
when
the
Box
Office
business
was
down.
His
last
movie
Jannat
had
released
during
the
Indian
Premiere
League
and
become
a
hit
although
experts
has
predicted
it
to
fail
due
to
the
IPL.
Jannat
had
given
the
boost
to
the
Box
Office
when
it
needed
it
most
last
year.
In
spite
of
all
these
Emraan
remains
one
of
the
most
underrated
stars
in
Bollywood.
He
has
never
made
it
to
the
top
list
of
Khans,
the
Akshay
Kumars,
the
Roshans
and
Bachchan
even
though
he
has
time
and
delivered
at
the
Box
Office.
Perhaps
his
serial
kisser
image
makes
sure
that
he
is
not
part
of
dud
projects.
Whatever
the
reason
may
be
Emraan
has
delivered
when
it
mattered
most
for
the
industry.
