Directed by Kunal Deshmukh and starring Emraan Hashmi and Randeep Hooda in the lead, Jannat 2 is nothing extraordinary. Like all previous Bollywood gangster films, the protagonist (who is extremely good at heart) gets lured into the big bad world and later faces the negative results of his own deeds.
Jannat 2 bares a lot of resemblance to Nicolas Cage’s Lord of War as it revolves around the plot of arms trafficking. Jannat 2 is a sequel to the 2008 release Jannat.
Few emotional and action scenes in Jannat 2 gives you an adrenaline high, though various twists and turns in the narrative is quite predictable. However, the fast pace of the film makes for an interesting watch.
Sonu Dilli aka KKC (Kutti Kamini Cheez), played by Emraan Hashmi, owns a small business of selling and renting guns. ACP Pratap (Randeep Hooda) asks Sonu to become his informer and help him get into the roots of the nexus of arms racket. Sonu later falls in love with Jhanvi (Esha Gupta), a doctor at a government hospital.
