Shahrukh Khan's 'Lungi Dance' track was one of the biggest chartbusters of 2012. The track, cutting across all the barriers, had reached every nook and corner of nation. Now, it has bagged a much-deserved music award. Well, it has won the Most Popular Song On Radio.

‘Lungi Dance' has been awarded the Most Popular Song on Radio at GiMA (Gionee Star Global Indian Music Awards) 2014. There were a few other songs too in the race but it was the song from Chennai Express that was listened by audience over and over again on FMs. The event is organized at National Sports Club of India Stadium in Mumbai.

The track in Chennai Express has been crooned by Yo Yo Honey Singh. The song has been composed by himself. It is a tribute track to the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.

However, Chennai Express starred Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The film was directed by Rohit Shetty and Vishal-Shekhar had composed the track.
