‘She’s Not An Idiot’, Saif’s Ex-wife Amrita Singh ANGRY About Sara Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor’s Rumours
From past one week, rumours are rife that Saif Ali Khan's ex-wife Amrita Singh is miffed with Kareena Kapoor Khan for influencing Sara Ali Khan in a negative way. There were reports that Amrita Singh was blaming Kareena for Sara's hot avatar and she was not quite happy about it!
However, in an exclusive interview with Spotboye, Amrita Singh cleared all the air and talked about Sara Ali Khan like never before! When asked about the rumours, whether it's indeed true that she was unhappy with Sara's dressing choices, here's what the mommy said:
"I don't know. I keep reading. I don't know how people perceive me. I hate it. I hate being put in boxes. I am a mother who lives with a child studying in New York. So when these people talk to me about how I should be upset (about what my daughter wears), it's annoying."
‘Let Sara Enjoy As Free Individual’
She added, "The common man doesn't care about these things; he only cares about what he sees on celluloid. And that's what we are here for. Today the tragedy is that we have to speak to people, be answerable. My daughter is stepping into an industry. Let her enjoy it as a free individual."
Sara Always Dresses Correctly
Amrita says, "We go shopping together. I dress my daughter a lot of times. In fact, Sara dresses me in Indian clothes. My daughter always dresses correctly be it Indian or western."
‘Sara Is Not An Idiot’
She further added, "She is very traditional because that's the way she has been brought up. But she has also studied in New York. She is an Ivy League graduate for God's sake! She is not an idiot. For Sara to be able to multitask and do two roles is not difficult. These are roles according to me."
Amrita On Sara’s Debut
"Sara takes her own calls, whether it's about her career or otherwise. I am also an actor and I am also busy. I don't have time to waste on clarifications or listening to- ‘I have a role for your daughter!'"
Don’t Tell Her How To Live
Later, she added, "Sara's parents made their own choices and that's what we expect from our children. I need to be taken out of this all together. Please don't tell her how to live or behave."
Sara Is Unaffected By All Such Rumours
In the same interview, Amrita also revealed that her daughter is unaffected by all such baseless rumours and she doesn't give a damn about it!
No SOTY 2 For Sara
Amrita Singh also confirmed that Sara is not doing Karan Johar's Students Of The Year 2, which also casts Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
Is Saif Supportive Of Sara?
When Amrita Singh was asked about the same, she told, "We are parents, I am sure he is happy about it. Sara has both her parents backing her and giving her wings to fly. He is the father; of course he knows what Sara is doing."
Sara In The Limelight
Blame Sara's jaw-dropping transformation from flab to fab or her star-kid status. This hottie is constantly in the limelight, sometimes owing to her Bollywood debut, while sometimes for her stunning avatar!
Coming back to Sara's dressing sense, Amrita also praised her daughter's dressings sense and told Spotboye,"I am not answerable about what my daughter wears or justify her choice of cinema. These are personal choices and more than anything I trust her. I know she will never do anything detrimental to her. So when I get pulled up for the way Sara dresses, all I have to say is: I feel she is one of the best dressed girls I know, maybe I don't know many."
We gotta say that even before her debut, Sara has started creating waves in B-town and we aren't complaining!
