The brand received severe backlash from his fans and it is now reported that the founder himself has sent out a written apology to the actor and also said that he's a big fan of his work. HT quoted a source as saying, "Tommy immediately got in touch with Hrithik (after the episode). He wrote a letter to the actor and graciously owned up to the mistake by his brand's team. He also said he was a fan Hrithik's work, and asked for his forgiveness."
The source also commented that Hrithik was super impressed by Tommy Hilfiger's letter and decided to end the matter right then and there, "What impressed Hrithik the most was the fact that Tommy owned up to the incident and elegantly sent a written apology." HT also mentioned that Hrithik Roshan wrote back to Tommy Hilfiger by saying that he's "graciously accepting" the apology.
