Aaradhya
Bachchan
case:
The
granddaughter
of
Amit
Bachchan
and
Jaya
Bachchan,
Aaradhya
Bachchan,
has
taken
legal
action
against
a
YouTube
tabloid
for
spreading
false
information
about
her
health.
As
per
reports,
the
11-year-old
child
has
sought
an
injunction
against
such
reporting
in
the
media
as
she
is
a
minor.
Actors
Aishwarya
Rai
Bachchan
and
Abhishek
Bachchan
became
proud
parents
of
Aaradhya
on
November
16,
2011.
Since
her
birth,
the
star
kids
have
been
in
the
limelight
and
have
been
targets
of
trolls
on
multiple
occasions.
On
April
20,
2023,
the
star
kids
moved
to
the
Delhi
High
Court
against
YouTube
tabloids
running
fake
news
about
her
health,
some
even
declaring
her
to
be
dead.

हाई
कोर्ट,
ये
है
मामला!
While
hearing
the
case
on
Thursday,
the
Delhi
High
Court
rebuked
YouTube,
which
is
owned
by
Google,
over
the
circulation
of
"fake
news"
relating
to
Aaradhya
Bachchan.
Directing
the
platform
to
remove
such
videos,
a
bench
headed
by
Justice
C
Hari
Shankar
slammed
the
firm
and
asked
why
they
don't
have
a
policy
in
such
matters.
Stating
that
such
fake
news
should
not
be
shared
in
the
future
either,
the
court
asked,
"When
you're
told
these
types
of
YouTubes
are
circulating,
should
there
not
be
some
way
of
handling
these
things?
You
are
a
YouTube
platform,
don't
you
have
some
responsibility
for
such
kinds
of
things?"
Adding
that
the
company
is
providing
a
platform
for
people
to
circulate
misinformation,
the
court
asked
the
counsel
representing
the
firm,
"You
mean
to
say
you're
only
providing
a
facility
for
people
to
only
misinform
the
public...
You
are
providing
a
platform
on
which
misleading
information
is
circulating
to
the
public.
How
can
such
a
thing
be
tolerated?"
The
court
also
summoned
Google
and
all
the
parties
mentioned
in
the
petition
and
directed
them
to
change
their
policies
as
per
the
amendment
in
the
IT
rules
and
stated,
"Every
child
is
entitled
to
be
treated
with
honour
and
respect,
be
in
celebrity
or
a
commoner.
Misleading
information
on
child,
especially
with
respect
to
her
health,
is
completely
intolerable
in
law."
Aaradhya's
counsel
further
argued
that
such
videos
use
morphed
pictures
of
the
star
kid,
which
is
a
breach
of
her
privacy.
They
stated,
"These
videos
are
false,
fake,
defamatory,
and
uploaded
with
the
end
and
intent
of
gaining
eye
balls
and
added
viewership
and
subscription
to
the
channel."
Further,
the
court
has
ordered
Google
to
take
down
all
the
video
clips
that
discuss
Aaradhya's
health.
"The
Delhi
High
Court
has
recognised
that
the
privacy
of
young
Aaradya
Bachchan
needs
to
be
protected
against
those
that
are
spreading
false
news
and
are
gaining
profits
from
misusing
her
family
name,"
Aaradhya's
lawyer,
Pravin
Anand,
said.
