The film also stars Divya Khosla Kumar and Meezaan Jafri in the lead roles.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming film Dream Girl 2’s song Dil Ka Telephone 2.0 has been unveiled. Ayushmann and Ananya Pnaday are seen romancing each other in the song. Ayushmaan is also seen in the popular Pooja avatar. The song also features Abhishek Banerjee, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, and Manjot Singh, among others. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Dream Girl 2 is backed by Ekta Kapoor. The sequel to the hit 2019 movie of the same name, the film, is releasing on August 25.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Kuwait became the latest country to ban Greta Gerwig’s superhit Hollywood movie Barbie. Earlier, the film faced a ban from Vietnam. A local media report stated that the chairman of the film censorship committee, Lafi Al-Subaie, has accused the film of "carrying ideas that encourage unacceptable behaviour and distort society’s values." It is also likely to be banned in Lebanon. The culture minister Mohammad Mortada said that Barbie "promotes homosexuality" and "contradicts values of faith and morality," by reducing the importance of the family unit, the outlet reported. Barbie was released on July 21 and stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, respectively.

The much-awaited Malayalam movie King of Kotha’s trailer has finally been unveiled. Starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, the trailer showcases the journey of a footballer who turned ganglord in the crime thriller. King of Kotha stars an ensemble cast including Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dancing Rose Shabeer, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakn, Shanthi Krishna, Vada Chennai Saran, and Anikha Surendran. The pan-India movie is releasing on August 24, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Bhumi Pednekar on Thursday took to her social media handle to share the poster of her film. Without revealing much detail, Bhumi captioned the post, "The ComeBACK of the Chick flick. After the announcement of their first-ever collaboration, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and ZEE Studios have unveiled the teaser for their upcoming film, 12th Fail. The teaser will play across cinemas starting Friday, along with Gadar 2. 12th Fail is based on Anurag Pathak's best-selling novel, about the incredible journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. The film is also inspired by millions of true stories of students attempting the world's toughest competitive exam, - UPSC. 12th Fail stars Vikrant Massey and is set to release worldwide on October 27th in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie OMG 2, which is releasing tomorrow, has been given an A certificate with 27 cuts by the censor board. Reacting to the changes made in Kumar’s character, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, who is a Central Board of Film Certification member, has called them unjustified. He also clarified that he is not a part of the reviewing committee and is yet to watch the film. He said, "No, it is not justified. I don’t agree with that. First of all, even though I am a part of CBFC but I am totally against it." Vivek also stated that CBFC was pressured into suggesting the modifications and said, "CBFC shouldn’t be pressurised to do anything. Whatever is happening, it’s happening because of social and religious pressures. Everybody has understood that CBFC is a vulnerable body, you put pressure on it, and they will make these changes. I don’t understand why a film should get so many cuts – 27 cuts. Who are you to decide that?" He then added, "Even though I am a part of CBFC but if you ask me, I honestly believe there shouldn’t be any CBFC. I am against any kind of boycotts and bans on the movies. I believe in free speech. I, in fact, believe in absolute free speech, to the extent, that I think even hate speech should be allowed. What is the intention of the filmmaker? If the intention is not bad, let it go."

The pan-India film Richie, which led the chartbuster with its first song, Channa Ve, sung by Javed Ali, marks the grand launch of the actor by the same name, Richiee. The film is originally shot in Kannada and dubbed in Hindi. Atrangi Song’s music has been done by Agastya Santosh. This song is choreographed by Ace Choreographer Dhananjaya and Ram Kiran. Richie is a romantic suspense thriller film that has extra-ordinary, thrilling action sequences composed by Different Danny.

Reema Kagti of Tiger Baby Films has confirmed her and Zoya Akhtar's much-anticipated film Jee Le Zaraa will have Priyanka Chopra along with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in the lead. Talking to news agency PTI, Reema said, "Jee Le Zaraa will go on floors with the same cast." Reportedly, the much-awaited road movie centres around an all-girls trip and is said to be a sequel to the 2011 movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Headlined by Priyanka, Katrina, and Alia, the three will be sharing screens with each other for the first time in Jee Le Zara.
