It was Satish Kaushik's 67th birth anniversary on April 16. Kaushik's dearest friend and Bollywood actor Anupam Kher hosted a musical night to mark the occasion. The event was attended by several Bollywood celebrities including Anil Kapoor, Neena Gupta, and Javed Akhtar among others.

Called 'Satish Kaushik Night', the musical event celebrated the glorious life of the late actor. A video from the event has gone viral on social media that shows Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher crying inconsolably as they remember the late actor.

In the video that is widely circulated on social media, Anupam Kher addresses the gathering as he recalls his final conversation with Satish. He calls Anil Kapoor to join him on stage and as the actor walks down the stairs, overcome with emotions he starts crying inconsolably. He goes back to his seat. Anupam, too, gets emotional watching his friend, Anil Kapoor.

He says, "Come, Anil. Heroes always cry and friends cry. Come." He further says, "Anil tu paagal hai. Main theek thaak jaara tha."

Talking about the event to ANI, Anupam Kher had said, "Rather than mourning about someone's death, we should celebrate their life. About 11 years ago, my father passed away and my parents were married for 59 years, then I planned to celebrate my father' life, so that my mother can spend rest of her life happily. That way this ritual started. Satish and I have been friends for almost 48 years and will continue to be."
