Fighter
Box
Office:
2024
didn't
start
on
a
great
note
for
Bollywood
as
the
first
release
of
the
year
Merry
Christmas
starring
Katrina
Kaif
and
Vijay
Sethupathi
failed
to
make
a
mark
at
the
box
office.
Now,
the
next
biggie
to
release
this
year
is
Siddharth
Anand's
Fighter
which
stars
Hrithik
Roshan,
Deepika
Padukone,
and
Anil
Kapoor
in
the
lead
roles.
The
film
is
all
set
to
release
on
25th
January
2024,
and
will
be
getting
a
four-day
weekend
as
on
26th
January
it
is
a
National
holiday.
Filmibeat
recently
spoke
to
producer
and
film
business
expert
Girish
Johar
about
the
film's
buzz
and
what
could
be
the
opening
day
collection.
When
asked
about
the
film's
buzz,
he
stated,
"Buzz
is
decentish
to
goodish,
nothing
extraordinary
like
it
should
have
been
for
a
Hrithik
Roshan,
Deepika
Padukone,
Anil
Kapoor,
and
Siddharth
Anand
film.
But,
still
I
believe
that
it's
a
four-day
weekend,
they
are
releasing
on
a
non-holiday
weekend
which
is
a
Thursday
and
then
they
have
a
long
weekend
ahead,
so
I
am
quite
optimistic
about
the
film."
Merry
Christmas
couldn't
do
well
at
the
box
office,
so
do
you
think
Bollywood
needs
a
boost
with
Fighter,
"Yes,
it's
very
critical,
so
that
the
churn
continues."
Talking
about
advance
booking,
Johar
said,
"Advance
bookings
once
again
is
decentish
to
goodish.
I
would
be
happy
if
the
film
opens
anywhere
around
Rs.
30
crore
mark
on
its
day
one
because
that
gives
it
a
firm
footing
for
a
strong
weekend
ahead.
I
believe
that
the
start
probably
maybe
slow
than
expected,
but
evening
onwards,
and
then
Friday,
Saturday,
Sunday,
it
has
good
chances
to
pick
it
up
provided
the
word
of
mouth
is
positive
and
audiences
are
getting
what
they
are
expecting."
"One
thing
I
would
like
to
add
is
that
I
feel
personally
that
the
music
is
below
par
and
has
not
been
able
to
generate
that
excitement
among
the
audiences.
On
paper,
Hrithik
and
Deepika
are
like
wild
fire,
so
I
am
assuming
that
once
the
film
releases,
the
music
adds
and
tier
2,
3,
and
4
audiences
also
start
liking
the
film."
So,
are
you
excited
for
Fighter?
