Abhi Basavaraj

Biography:  Abhi Basavaraj is an Indian film director who mainly works in the Kannada film industry. Abhi Basavaraj makes his directing debut with Shreshta Basavaraj's action-drama Somu Sound Engineer, which was produced by Christopher Kini under the Aartha Entertainers banner. For the movie "Kaddipudi," which premiered on June 7, 2013, Abhi Basavaraj served as Duniya Soori's assistant director. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar and Radhika Pandit. Abhi Basavaraj serves as the assistant director for the first time in this film.  Abhi Basavaraj mainly learned about the art of filmmaking from Duniya Soori, and he later served in the same position for Duniya Soori's Kendasampige, Doddmane Hudga, and Tagaru. He prepared a tale for North Karnataka rural backdrop story in a different style after learning proper direction from Duniya Soori. Finally he made his directorial debut with "Somu Sound Engineer," which hit theaters on March 15, 2024, garnering a fantastic response from the audience.
