Shivaraj
Kumar
apologises
To
Siddharth:
Popular
Kannada
actor
Shivaraj
Kumar,
a
prominent
figure
in
the
Kannada
film
industry,
took
a
stand
in
solidarity
with
farmers
from
both
Karnataka
and
Tamil
Nadu.
Addressing
the
disruption
of
fellow
actor
Siddharth's
press
conference
by
an
organization,
Shivaraj
Kumar
questioned
whether
a
mere
five-minute
conversation
during
a
celebrity
sit-in,
or
dharana,
could
effectively
address
the
complex
and
ongoing
issues
faced
by
farmers.
In
a
gesture
of
unity
and
reconciliation,
Shivaraj
Kumar
extended
an
apology
to
Siddharth
on
behalf
of
the
Kannada
Film
Chamber,
emphasizing
that
at
the
heart
of
the
matter,
"farmers
are
farmers," regardless
of
their
regional
distinctions.
Shivaraj
Kumar's
statement
not
only
acknowledges
the
pressing
agricultural
concerns
in
the
region
but
also
highlights
the
importance
of
constructive
dialogue
and
meaningful
action
in
addressing
these
challenges,
transcending
boundaries
and
bringing
communities
together
for
a
shared
cause.
Apologies
Amid
Chaos
Earlier,
actor
Prakash
Raj
also
extended
an
apology
to
actor
Siddharth,
conveying
regrets
on
behalf
of
the
people
of
Karnataka
following
the
interruption
of
the
latter's
press
conference
in
Bengaluru
by
a
pro-Kannada
organisation.
Yesterday,
Siddharth
arrived
in
Bengaluru
to
promote
his
film
'Chithha,'
also
known
as
'Chikku'
in
Kannada.
As
he
was
on
the
verge
of
commencing
his
speech
during
the
press
conference,
individuals
from
a
pro-Kannada
organisation
forcefully
entered
and
called
for
an
immediate
halt
to
the
event.
Despite
these
disruptions,
Siddharth
decided
to
proceed,
addressing
the
media
and
officially
initiating
the
press
conference.
Nevertheless,
the
scenario
intensified
when
the
activists
insisted
that
the
press
conference
be
stopped
immediately.
They
pointed
out
the
timing
of
the
event
and
criticized
it
for
not
actively
advocating
for
the
Cauvery
water
dispute,
expressing
their
belief
that
addressing
this
issue
should
have
taken
precedence
over
conducting
a
press
conference.
Confronted
with
their
continuous
disruption,
Siddharth
expressed
his
gratitude
to
the
audience
with
folded
hands
and
gracefully
exited
the
event.
In
Karnataka,
protests
have
erupted
due
to
the
distribution
of
Cauvery
water
to
Tamil
Nadu.
These
protests
come
in
response
to
the
Supreme
Court's
recent
decision
not
to
intervene
in
the
enforcement
of
water-sharing
agreements
between
the
states,
as
well
as
the
rulings
of
the
Cauvery
Water
Management
Authority
and
Cauvery
Water
Regulation
Committee.
