Jeethu Joseph Denies Reports Of Simultaneous Hindi And Malayalam Release For 'Drishyam 3': The iconic Malayalam franchise 'Drishyam' has gained immense popularity across Indian cinema, transcending language barriers.
When the film was released in 2013 without much pre-release hype, nobody anticipated the cult following it would amass. However, it exceeded all expectations.
The success of 'Drishyam' led to its remakes in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Sinhala, and even Chinese, all achieving significant success. The franchise's second installment, 'Drishyam 2' released on OTT platform Prime Video in February 2021.
Just like its predecessor, 'Drishyam 2' was remade in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, captivating audiences everywhere. The Hindi version, featuring Ajay Devgn, emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2022.
Exciting news emerged yesterday as reports suggested that the third and final part of 'Drishyam' would be produced simultaneously in Hindi and Malayalam. However, director Jeethu Joseph has dismissed these claims, stating that there is no plan to make 'Drishyam 3' simultaneously in both languages.
No Simultaneous Hindi & Malayalam Release for 'Drishyam 3'
According to an entertainment website, Abhishek Pathak, the director and co-screenwriter of 'Drishyam 2' in Hindi, along with the co-writers, approached Jeethu Joseph with the concept for the third installment. Jeethu, impressed by the concept, supposedly began scripting the film, slated for production next year.
Nevertheless, Jeethu Joseph has now refuted these reports, declaring them baseless. In an interview with News Portal 'The Fourth,' Jeethu clarified that while discussions for 'Drishyam 3' are ongoing, the current rumours do not hold any truth.
"The story for 'Drishyam 3' will not be borrowed from outside. The claim that I have already heard the story idea is untrue. The film will come to fruition only when everything falls into place. As of now, there is no certainty regarding when and how it will happen," expressed Jeethu Joseph.
Fans of the 'Drishyam' franchise eagerly await further updates and confirmation about the third installment, hoping to witness the continuation of this gripping saga.
