Thiruvananthapuram:
The
Malayalam
film
industry
has
lost
one
if
its
most
versatile
actors.
Thilakan
breathed
his
last
yesterday
(Monday)
at
around
3:30
AM.
While
Kerala
is
mourning
the
death
of
one
of
the
most
talentged
actors
in
the
showbizz,
his
colleagues
fondly
remember
him
in
their
chat
with
TOI.
KPAC
Lalitha
Thilakanchettan
is
irreplaceable.
Sphadikam
happened
at
a
time
when
we
had
an
argument.
On
the
sets
of
the
film,
he
wouldn't
point
out
my
mistakes
directly
as
his
pride
wouldn't
let
him
to.
Instead,
he
would
tell
the
director
to
ask
me
to
tell
the
dialogue
differently
and
to
emote
in
a
particular
way
to
create
a
bigger
impact.
When
I
met
him
at
the
hospital
a
month
ago,
Thilakanchettan
said,
"After
I
am
out
of
hospital,
and
I
am
done
with
the
film
I
am
working
on,
we
should
do
a
good
film
together."
Nedumudi
Venu
I
have
admired
Thilakanchettan
as
an
actor
since
the
time
I
used
to
watch
his
stage
acts.
Back
then,
there
weren't
any
performers
who
had
that
eminent
stage
presence
as
he
did.
While
we
have
had
our
differences
of
opinion,
a
co-star
can
gauge
an
actor's
performance
more
than
the
audience.
Thilakan
was
always
prepared
for
his
roles,
often
taking
his
character
beyond
what
a
director
expects
of
him.
He
was
a
complete
actor.
Sibi
Malayil
Thilakanchettan
will
easily
be
featured
in
the
list
of
the
best
actors
that
this
country
has
produced.
I
worked
with
him
in
some
of
the
best
films
in
my
career
such
as
Kireedam,
Thaniyavarthanam
and
Chenkol.
His
demise
is
a
personal
loss
to
me.
Oneindia
mourns
the
death
of
Thilakan
and
hope
that
god
gives
his
family
the
strength
to
withstand
the
loss.
