Actress
Shweta
Menon
was
assaulted
by
Congress
MP
N
Peethambara
Kurup
while
she
was
attending
a
public
function
at
Quilon.
Shweta
says
that
she
has
decided
to
file
a
complaint
to
the
Kerala
CM
Oommen
Chandy
regarding
the
incident.
This
has
put
the
alleged
MP
in
trouble.
Shweta
said
that
she
had
made
a
complaint
to
the
collector
and
to
the
KPCC
president
after
reaching
the
hotel,
but
the
collector
denied
the
statement
and
said
that
Shweta
had
not
made
any
complaint
to
him.
After
Shweta
made
the
incident
public,
many
have
come
forward
supporting
the
actress
including
AMMA
Persident
Innocent,
Lizy
Jose
and
her
husband
Sreevalsan
Menon.
Sreevalsan
said
that
the
collector
had
not
taken
any
action
against
the
alleged
MP
N
Peethambara
Kurup
and
they
have
decided
to
file
a
complaint
to
the
CM.
Shweta
said
that
she
is
very
much
shocked
by
the
statement
made
by
the
collector
and
said
that
she
can
never
forget
the
unfortunate
experience
she
had
faced
during
the
Presidents
Trophy
Boat
Race,
Quilon.
Her
husband
said
to
the
media
that
Shweta
is
very
much
disturbed
by
the
act
as
well
as
the
statement
made
by
the
collector
and
confirmed
that
they
have
decided
to
move
legally.
Shweta
added,
she
has
nothing
to
do
with
politics
and
is
expressing
emotions
of
a
woman
who
has
been
molested
in
public!
Meanwhile,
N
Peethambara
Kurup
has
denied
the
case
against
him
and
responded
saying
that
he
had
not
done
the
act
of
molesting
the
actress.
But,
the
videos
of
the
function
clearly
state
that
the
molesting
has
been
done
by
the
MP.
