Shweta Menon Not A Part Of Kelvi!

Actress Shweta Menon, who was in news earlier after a Kerala MP tried to molest her in a public meeting held in Quilon, has confirmed that she will not be a part of the Malayalam movie Kelvi, which is a bilingual. Kelvi, directed by Hashim Marikkar, is touted to be a suspense thriller.

Shweta Menon says, "Yes, I had signed the project, but I am not doing it anymore. Currently, I am busy with a Kollywood movie and some shows." It was reported that Shweta will essay the role of a scriptwriter in the film.

Kelvi revolves around the lives of a scriptwriter, a film director and a yesteryear actress, and certain events that happen in their lives. Manoj K Jayan and Swetha Menon were said to play the lead roles in the film. But, since Shweta has stepped back, the female lead is yet to be confirmed. Piaa Bajpai, Mumtaz, Aju Varghese, Praveen Prem and many others are seen in supporting roles in the film.

Piaa is said to play a college student in Kelvi. She plays a charming, bubbly girl in the film. Kelvi will also be made in Tamil, in which Parthipen will play the male lead. Shweta was said to play the female lead in Tamil too, but now things are yet to be finalised.
