Aparna Gopinath To Don Khaki

Aparna Gopinath, the super talented young actress, who made the audience awestruck with her electrifying performance as a cunning, carrer-minded journalist in the recently released Mammootty starrer Munnariyippu, is all set to don khaki for the upcoming movie Onnam Loka Mahayudham. The movie, which depicts the love story of a lady police officer and a doctor, will have ABCD fame Tovino Thomas in the male lead.

Aparna Gopinath, who is a well-established theatre artist, is considered as one of the finest talents of Malayalam cinema’s young generation. The different looks and potential to take up any character makes Aparna different from her contemporary actresses, who usually prefers to play the cliched heroine characters.

Aparna is an active member of popular drama troop Koothu-P-Pattarai, which earned immense popularity for the theatre adaption of seven short stories of popular Malayalam writer Vaikom Mohammed Basheer. The actress has been a part of the popular theatre and street drama ventures of Koothu-P-Pattarai and has acted in several popular ads, including the ad of 18 again.

Onnam Loka Mahayudham, directed by debutante Sree Varun, is reportedly an out-and-out comedy entertainer, which will have Santhosh Keezhattoor, Chemban Vinod Jose, Joju George and Lishoy in the other pivotal roles. The movie is penned by new comer Hariprasad. Onnam Loka Mahayudham will go on floors by the first week of December, and is slated to release on February 2015.
