Munnariyippu,

got
an
entry
into
Chicago
South
Asian
Film
Festival.
The
film
festival
is
to
be
held
on
18th
to
21st
of
September.
Munnariyippu
is
the
only
Malayalam
movie
which
got
selected
for
the
film
festival.
Munnariyippu
revolves
around

K
Raghavan,
an
ex-convict,
who
continues
to
live
in
the
jail
even
after
completing
the
sentence
period
and
Anjali
Arackal,
an
ambitious
young
journalist,
who
aspires
to
make
a
sensational
story
out
of
Raghavan's
life.
Mammootty
plays

K
Raghavan
and
Aparna
Gopinath
plays
Anjali.
The
movie
is
considered
as
one
of
the
finest
thrillers,
ever
released
in
Mollywood.
Mammootty
earned
huge
critical
acclaims
for
his
performance
as
Raghavan,
an
ex-convict
who
carries
the
baggage
of
a
mysterious
past.
Venu
himself
wrote
script
and
handles
the
cinematography
of
the
movie.
Along
with
Mammootty
