Samrajyam
2,
the
much-awaited
Unni
Mukundan
starrer
movie,
directed
by
popular
Tamil
filmmaker
Perarasu,
will
hit
the
theatres
on
June
5th.
The
movie
is
the
remake
of
1990
released
Mammootty
starrer
movie
Samrajyam,
directed
by
Jomon.
The
release
of
the
movie
has
been
put
on
a
halt,
prior
to
the
complaint
lodged
by
Mohammed
Shafeeq.
According
to
Shafeeq,
the
script
and
dialogues
of
the
movie
are
written
by
him,
but
the
credits
have
been
given
to
director
Perarasu.
Since
the
complaint
which
was
filed
against
producer
Ajmal
Hassan
has
been
proven
to
be
wrong,
the
much-awaited
project
will
hit
the
theatres
without
any
more
hurdles.
Samrajyam
2
is
the
most
ambitious
project
in
the
career
of
Unni
Mukundan,
who
is
yet
to
release
his
first
solo
hit.
The
movie
was
initially
offered
to
some
other
popular
actors
including
Prithviraj,
Dulquer
Salmaan
and
Arya,
who
turned
down
the
offer.
As
per
the
reports,
Perarasu
and
producer
Ajmal
Hassan
were
keen
on
casting
Dulquer
Salmaan
in
the
movie.
But
the
actor
rejected
the
offer
since
he
does
not
believe
in
the
concept
of
sequels
and
remakes.
The
movie
will
have
Akansha
Puri
in
the
female
lead.
Vijayaraghavan
will
reprise
his
role
Khadir
from
the
prequel.
Devan,
Parthiban,

Manoj
K
Jayan,

Khan,

etc
will
appear
in
the
