Oppam, the recently released Mohanlal movie has already conquered the Kerala box office and emerged as the sixth highest ever grosser of the industry. Now, Oppam has broken yet another box office record.
As per the latest updates from the trade analysts, the Priyadarshan movie has made a total gross collection of 30.4 Crores from the Kerala box office, within the first 23 days of its release.
Thus, Oppam broke the collection record of Nivin Pauly's Premam once again, by becoming the fastest Malayalam movie to cross the 30-Crore mark. The movie has also earned about 12.95 Crores as the share.
Oppam has surpassed the lifetime collection of Twenty 20, within the first 21 days of its release. The makers and industry members expect that the movie will surely break the collection record of Drishyam.
Interestingly, Oppam has already emerged as the highest grosser of 2016, by surpassing the lifetime collection of Jacobinte Swargarajyam. The movie needs to make 12 Crores more, to exceed the Kerala collections of Drishyam.
The movie has also broken the record of Premam, by becoming the fastest film to pass the 10-Crore and 20-Crore marks. The detailed outside Kerala and outside India collections will be revealed soon.
