Oppam Box Office Collection: 6 Records Broken By The Mohanlal Starrer!

Oppam, which released on September 8, 2016 is continuing its golden run and fetching gold at the Kerala box office. The film could well be termed as the comeback of veteran director Priyadarshan.

The film has completed 20 days of run and is still going strong in majority of the centres. Oppam, after its release, has broken many box office collection records. Take a look at some of the records eclipsed by this Mohanlal starrer.

The film has set a new record in the number of releasing stations as well. Reportedly, Oppam got released in 119 centres in various countries in Europe, on September 23, 2016.

Meanwhile, the film went on to become one among the 6 biggest hits in the history of Malayalam cinema. We need to wait to know whether the film would break the lifetime collection records of Drishyam, to become an industry hit.

Oppam would be having a smooth run this week also, since no big releases have been chartered for this week. Next big release would be Mohanlal starrer Puli Murugan, which is set to hit the theatres on October 7, 2016.

Apart from Puli Murugan, Mammootty starrer Thoppil Joppan is also expected to hit the theatres during the Pooja season.
