Paula Abdul staying away from her home

Washington (ANI): Singer Paula Abdul has been staying in places other than her own after her alleged stalker committed suicide outside the American Idol judge's house entrance. The body of Paula Goodspeed, who had been an unsuccessful contestant on the 5th season of the reality show, had been discovered near the singer"s house in Sherman Oaks, California on November 11.

The police had earlier hinted that the 'obsessed' 30-year-old might have died from a drug overdose. The two-time Emmy Award-winner, who has put the 'suicide' house on sale, said that she had been on the look out for a new residence. "I've been staying in different homes and hotels, and I have security with me. I am in the process of looking for another place to reside," People magazine quoted her as saying.

The choreographer-actress also revealed how disturbed the incident had left her. "It was very tragic and very upsetting to hear. She had tried to do this before, and it was just heartbreaking," she said. "It was in the middle of Hollywood week, and it happened while I was actually working at the Kodak Theatre, and it was devastating to hear," she added.
