On
hearing
that
Amy
Winehouse
had
died
of
suspected
drug
overdose,
Blake
Fielder-Civil,
ex
husband
of
singer,
said
that
he
is
inconsolable
and
his
tears
would
not
dry.
Blake,
who
is
serving
32
months
jail
sentence
for
burglary
and
a
firearm
offence,
collapsed
on
hearing
the
news
of
his
ex-wife.
“I'm
beyond
inconsolable
...
my
tears
won't
dry,"
The
Sun
quoted
Blake
as
saying,
adding,
“I
will
never
ever
again
feel
the
love
I
felt
for
her.
Everybody
who
knew
me
and
knew
Amy
knew
the
depth
of
our
love.
I
can't
believe
she's
dead."
Sarah
Aspin,
girlfriend
of
Blake,
revealed
that
her
boyfriend
is
devastated.
“He
is
devastated
and
shattered.
He
just
can't
take
it
in
that
she's
dead
and
he'll
never
see
her
again.
Blake
rang
me
on
Saturday
after
the
prison
authorities
told
him
she'd
died.
I
just
couldn't
console
him.
He
was
in
total
shock.
Blake
is
the
father
of
our
son.
But
I
saw
him
and
Amy
together
and
I
know
they
were
really
in
love
and
they
were
soulmates.
She
always
loved
him
and
he
always
loved
her
-
but
it
was
just
never
going
to
work.
Basically
they
couldn't
live
with
each
other
and
they
could
not
live
without
each
other.
It
is
hard
for
me
knowing
he
still
loved
her,
but
I
do
understand
his
feelings."
Sarah
added:
“I
think
Amy
could
not
get
over
the
fact
that
Blake
and
I
had
had
our
son
Jack.
I
think
it
hit
her
pretty
hard.
She
would
have
made
a
fantastic
mum,
though,
despite
all
her
problems.
What's
happened
is
so
tragic
-
an
absolute
waste."
It
may
be
recalled
that
Amy
had
reportedly
told
one
of
her
friends
that
only
Blake
could
save
her
from
keeping
away
from
substance
abuse.
