Kalyana Samayal Saadham (KSS)(English: Marriage Feast) is an tamil romantic-comedy movie written and directed by R S Prasanna. The movie features Prasanna and Lekha Washington in the lead roles. Director Arun Vaidyanathan is producing the movie along with Ananth Govindan. Krishnan Vasant will be behind the lens and a debut Arrora composed music.

Kalyana Samayal Saadham (KSS), which is about a big fat Indian wedding will also feature in Emmy-nominated American television series Born To Explore with Richard Wiese. A song from the film 'Mella Sirithai' is already released and got a nice review from the viewers.

Raghu Viswanathan (Prasanna) and Meera Chandrasekaran (Lekha Washington) are both engineers belonging to typical Brahmin families. Too busy with their respective careers, they decide to outsource the job of finding their life partners to their parents.

After carefully scrutinising the various matrimonial websites and taking into account the job profile, annual salary and family background, Meera’s parents zero in on Raghu.

After the traditional ‘bride seeing’ ceremony, the families believe that Raghu and Meera would make an ideal match, and the couple gets engaged. The wedding is eight months away and the beautiful period of courtship begins.

Raghu and Meera slowly get to know one another, while their parents are busy making rounds of wedding halls, decorators, caterers and musicians.

Then, with just a month to go for the wedding, there is a big twist in the story.

The trailer and the Mella Sirithal song of Kalyana Samayal Saadham (KSS) were too clean and family friendly that you wonder why the U/A certification. But once you are into the film and with an important twist, you realize its justification, as the debutant director Prasanna has taken on a much tabooed but a very pertinent and relevant issue of current times.

Kalyana Samayal Saadham is actually a misnomer if you look at it very superficially, as the film does not in any way deal about the food items served in a wedding. However, tease the outer layer out, you may actually get to realize the reasons for such nomenclature.

With the wedding season for this year drawing to a close, here comes a well planned, meticulously arranged, perfect Tambrahm wedding without hitch. Well that's how it's made to look like. 'Achamundu Achamundu' paved the way for Prasanna to tie the knot with Sneha.

Now the director brings a true to life reel marriage with the same actor, with a complete entertainer, 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham'.
