Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru is a fun ride and one-time watch film.
Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru fails on many counts, the primary being the lead actors and their lackluster performance. Though a refreshing concept, that of a love guru, instead of the usual hero’s buddy, who hangs around with him, giving useless tips to woo the girl, the film is still quite boring and predictable.
So, here is another Tamil film that struggles due to long second half. Can't we ever make a shorter film a la 'Delhi Belly', which was funnier yet short? If you're seeking plain entertainment, here's your film.
The film still works big time because of the inherent optimism in the plot and the sheer good-naturedness of its characters. Watch it, because it's the season to be jolly, and good laughs are guaranteed.
THE TIMES OF INDIA
If the movie works despite its predictable storyline, it is because of the terrific effort put in by the supporting cast comprising Bosskey, RJ Balaji, Devadarshini, Jennifer and the employees at the IT company, though one would give an arm and a leg to work in an organization that is more bothered about party dress codes than software codes.
