asin thottumkal to do the balancing act

asin thottumkal, Kollywood's top actress, has confirmed that she will act in Director Harikumar's new film Vel opposite actor Surya. The actress is now busy with Hindi project Ghajini in which she is acting opposite Aamir Khan. She has also given dates for the Hindi remake of Pokkiri in which she will be acting opposite Salman Khan.

She already committed earlier to a film with Surya under Hari's direction in Tamil. As time passed after she commited to the project, director Harikumar didn't show intrest in the project. It was rumoured that said that Jyothika, Surya's wife, didn't approve of asin thottumkal acting opposite her husband. Moreover by this time, asin thottumkal has started shooting for her Hindi projects

Both Surya and Hari contacted the actress and asked her for the dates for Vel as discussed earlier. asin thottumkal immediately accepted their offer and allotted her call sheets for the film. Since the director of Ghajini Hindi remake, Murugadoss, planned to shoot the movie in Chennai, the actress moved to Chennai from Mumbai last week.

At present she planned to give both the film in alternative days so that she can complete both the projects simultaneously. Hari, the director of Vel said, There is no change of plans. Right from the beginning, asin thottumkal was my choice. It was a false assumption that Jyothika had objected to my choice of asin thottumkal. I, initially, planned to shoot for the major part of the film in the Chennai's studios only.
