Vikram does a Shiva Thaandavam!

By Ramchander

"The source of all movement, Shiva's dance, gives rhythm to the universe. He dances in evil places, In sacred, He creates and preserves, destroys and releases. We are part of this dance, this eternal rhythm, and woe to us if, blinded By illusions, We detach ourselves From the dancing cosmos, This universal harmony..," The famous poem on the lord strikes your eyes in the audio release invitation of Vikram's Thaandavam.

The makers of Thaandavam have printed a colourful and well-designed invitation card. The designs of the pages in the invitation card have been inspired by Lord Shiva's seven form of dances or Saptha Thaandavam - Ananda, Sandhya, Kaliga, Vijaya, Samhara/Rudra, Oordha, Uma, and we can also see the descriptions of each dance in the respective pages.

Here, we are bringing you one of the designs of the invitation card that reads: Ananda Thandavam is a dance of bliss that Lord Shiva is believed to have performed as Nataraj, the king of dance, in Chidambaram. It is performed by the Lord when in a joyous mood. An expression of happiness, this dance of Lord Siva signifies wholeness.
