Vikram's Thaandavam gets clean chit

AL Vijay has proved once again that he only makes the movies that could be watched by all section of audience. For the fifth consecutive time, his movie has got a clean chit from the Regional Censor Board. Well, the director's earlier movies Kireedam, Poi Solla Porom, Madrasapattinam, and Deiva Thirumagal had bagged 'U' certificate from censor and his latest movie Thaandavam is also not an exception.

Thaandavam was censored on Thursday (September 20) and was given 'U' certificate. The movie reportedly got appreciation from the members of the board for its clean content. Announcing the news, Dhananjayan Govind, UTV South India Chief, tweeted, "Delighted & happy. #Thaandavam censored & given clean "U" certificate without any cuts ...Hereby confirm release date as 28th Sept:-)"

Dhananjayan further added that the production house always want to make clean movies, which could be watched by all section of people. "We believe in self censorship ... not even a single cut was given ... clean chit & clean "U" is something we aspire for all our films," he wrote.

However, in the forthcoming movie, Vikram will enact a role of blind person who is gifted with human echolocation to detect objects in his environment. This character of the Chiyaan is inspired by Kish. Thaandavam is directed by AL Vijay and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. It also features Anushka Shetty, Amy Jackson and Jagapathi Babu in the key roles.
