Santhanam
and
Powerstar's
Kanna
Laddu
Thinna
Aasiaya
(KLTA)
has
got
a
flying
start
at
the
Box
Office.
The
film,
which
was
released
on
January
13,
has
emerged
as
the
Pongal
winner
with
the
film
recovering
the
production
cost
in
the
first
three
days
itself.
The
Tamil
film,
which
was
competing
with
Alex
Pandian
and
Samar,
made
six
crore
rupees
in
three
days.
Udhayanidhi
Stalin
of
Red
Giant,
on
a
rare
note,
disclosed
about
the
business
made
by
KLTA.
He
wrote,
KLTA
first
3
days
collection
for
TN
theatrical
is
Rs
6,80,65,560
and
distributor
share
is
3,75,98,768!"
The
failure
of
Alex
Pandian
and
the
confusions
over
the
release
date
of
Samar
made
people
to
divert
their
attention
towards
KLTA.
This
eventually
guaranteed
a
good
collection
on
the
opening
day.
But
what
worked
well
was
the
good
word-of-mouth,
which
is
doing
wonders
for
the
movie.
Santhanam
and
the
Powerstar's
performance
with
a
decent
story
are
the
highlights
of
KLTA,
which
also
features
Sethu,
Vishaka
Singh,
VTV
Ganesh,
Kovai
Sarala
and
others
in
the
cast.
The
film,
which
was
released
on
205
screens,
is
the
first
Tamil
winner
of
2013
at
the
Box
Office.
