SIIMA 2013: Vijay's Thuppakki Gets 10 Nominations
South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2013, is all set to honour the best cinematic personalities for the second time. SIIMA nominations list is announced and it should be noted that Vijay's Thuppakki has bagged 10 nominations.
SIIMA 2013 will be held on September 12 and 13, at Expo Centre Sharja, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Talented cinematic personalities from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries will be honoured at the event.
South Indian celebrities like Shruti Hassan, Hansika Motwani, Shriya Saran, Usha Uthup, Richa Gangopadhyay, Pranitha, Anirudh, Andrea, Lakshmi Menon and Remya Nambeesan are expected to give breathtaking performances in the event.
Two days event of SIIMA will be hosted by Shirya Sharan, Sonu Sood, Arya and Rana Daggubati. The nominations list has been announced under various categories from all the four languages.
Tamil film, Vijay starrer Thuppakki leads in the nomination list by qualifying for ten awards. The movie was released in 2012. Other Kollywood movies like 3, Maattrraan, Pizza, Neerparavi, Kumki and Sundarapandian have been nominated for different awards under various categories.
In SIIMA 2013, Telugu movie Gabbar Singh starring Pawan Kalyan dominates the qualifying list with 13 nominations. Mahesh Babu starrer Businessman nominated for ten and SS Rajamouli's critically acclaimed Eega is nominated for nine awards. The winners will be decided through public voting.

Thuppakki
Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Thuppakki has been nominated for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Comedian, Best Dance and Fight Choreographers, Best Negative role, Best Music Director and Best Play Back Singer.

Tamil film 3 has been nominated under seven categories. The male lead Dhanush has been nominated as Best Actor and Best Singer (male). The movie is also nominated for: Best Actress, Best Director, Best Playback Singer (female), Best Music Director and Best Lyricist.
Kumki
Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon starrer Kumki has been nominated under seven categories for SIIMA. The movie is nominated for Best Movie, Best Director, Debutant Male, Comedian, Best Music Director and Best Cinematography.
Neerapavai
The movie has also qualified for seven categories: Best Director, Best Actor, Playback Singer, Lyricist, Supporting role in (male and female) categories and Best Cinematography.
Vazhakkai Enn 18/9
Has been nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Debutant (Female), Best Supporting Role (female) and Best Cinematography.
Pizza
Pizza has nominated for four main categories: Best Film, Best Actor, Best Debutant Director and Best Cinematography.
Sundarapandian
The movie is also qualified for five main categories: Best Film, Best Debutant Director, Best Comedian and Best Cinematography.
Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK)
Udhayanidhi Stalin is nominated for the Best Debutant Actor award for his performance in OKOK. Along with him the movie is also nominated for Best Actress, Best Comedian and Best Dance Choreography.
Maattrraan
Surya starrer Maattrraan has also been nominated under the four categories: Best Actor, Best Director, Best Negative Role, Best Fight and Dance Choreography.
Nanban
The movie is directed by star director Shankar, which has Vijay in the lead role. The movie is nominated for two categories: Best Lyricist and Best Fight Choreography.
Thandavam
Vikaram starrer Thandavam has also nominated under two categories: Best Lyricist and Best Fight Choreography.
Other Tamil Movies
Other Tamil movies like Dhoni, Aravan, Kachalil Sathappuvathu Eppadi, Neethane En Ponnavasantham, Naan, Marina, Attakathi, Naan and Poda Podi are nominated under various categories.
