AR
Rahman's
Reputation
AR
Rahman
is
one
of
the
most
prominent
music
composers
of
Indian
film
industry.
AR
Rahman,
who
has
made
India
proud
by
winning
two
Oscars
at
the
same
time,
has
been
performing
in
music
concerts
all
over
the
world.
After
about
5
years,
AR
Rahman's
concert
was
held
in
Chennai.
This
musical
concert,
which
was
scheduled
to
take
place
last
month
(August
12),
was
postponed
due
to
heavy
rains.
Accordingly,
AR
Rahman's
concert
was
held
on
Sunday
(September
10)
in
ECR
area
of
Chennai.
Many
celebrities
including
director
Mani
Ratnam's
family
and
actor
Ajith's
family
attended
the
event.
However,
due
to
lack
of
proper
arrangements
for
the
fans,
the
show
became
a
disaster.
It
is
said
that
there
are
no
seating
facilities
for
those
who
went
inside.
On
the
other
hand,
due
to
lack
of
parking
facilities,
there
was
a
traffic
jam.
Despite
more
than
700
police
personnel
on
security
duty,
the
ECR
came
to
a
standstill
as
it
could
not
cope
with
the
traffic
jam.
At
one
point,
Chief
Minister
Stalin's
vehicle
also
got
stuck
in
the
traffic
jam.
AR
Rahman
himself
took
responsibility
for
everything
while
the
show
became
a
controversy.
Ticket
Scam
Exposed
He
also
announced
that
the
ticket
money
will
be
fully
refunded
to
the
fans
who
were
unable
to
watch
the
show.
However,
fans
continue
to
voice
their
opinions
against
AR
Rahman
and
the
organizers
of
the
show.
At
the
same
time,
celebrities
from
the
film
industry
expressed
their
support
for
AR
Rahman.
Meanwhile,
the
police,
who
investigated
the
incident,
said
that
they
allowed
only
25,000
people
to
attend
the
event.
However,
as
more
than
40,000
people
gathered
there,
there
was
difficulty
in
the
security
work,
they
said.
Also,
it
was
revealed
that
ACTC
Events,
who
coordinated
the
concert,
recruited
college
students
as
volunteers.
Apart
from
that,
they
are
not
given
enough
training.
Similarly,
the
ACTC
company,
which
took
permission
from
the
police
for
only
25,000
people,
has
sold
up
to
40,000
tickets.
Due
to
this,
the
police
security
has
been
disturbed
and
the
fans
have
also
suffered
due
to
lack
of
seating
facilities.
Similarly,
it
has
been
revealed
that
the
ground
where
the
concert
of
Marakkuma
Nenjam
took
place
can
only
accommodate
up
to
25000
people.
It
has
now
come
to
light
that
ACTC
has
cheated
fans
and
the
police
department
by
selling
more
tickets.
In
this
situation,
Hemant,
the
founder
of
ACTC,
who
organized
the
program,
has
apologized.
In
the
video
released
by
him
in
this
regard,
he
clarified
that
AR
Rahman
had
nothing
to
do
with
all
these
and
asked
fans
not
to
blame
AR
Rahman
in
this.
He
also
assured
disappointed
fans
that
their
money
would
be
refunded
and
took
responsibility
for
all
the
mess.
