Coke Studio MTV 3: Here Is AR Rahman's Zariya

Coke Studio @MTV being liked by the audience, after successful seasons is back with its third season.

The new season of the popular music show was launched by Sukhwinder Singh, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, Papon, Salim-Sulaiman, AR Rahman, Clinton Cerejo, Hishesh Soni and Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidhartha Malhotra.

With a promise of bringing together popular music producers and artists from different parts of the country, this season has AR Rahman, Salim Sulaiman and Ram Sampath making their debut in the show. Other artists include Amit Trivedi, Clinton Cerejo, Hitesh Sonik and Papon.

AR Rahman, who was present for the launch, said that he was very excited to be a part of the show this time. "I am excited to be a part of Coke Studio@MTV, season 3 - A show that is part of many cultures ranging from Tibet to the Middle East. Coke Studio celebrates diversity coming together to music that appeal to an even broader segment of people. The composition of season 3 of Coke Studio celebrates cultures under the overreaching theme of happiness," he said.

Varun also added that he was really looking forward to the season. He said, "I thank the music producers for getting together to create the sounds of Coke Studio@MTV, Season 3."

Coke Studio Is Immense

"The amount of planning and thinking that goes into composing a song especially if it is being done for Coke Studio is immense. I am really looking forward to this season," he said.

AR Rahman Special

Joshi, chairman, CEO and chief creative officer of McCann World Group (India and South Asia) said, "It's always special to work with AR Rahman. We connect and this time even more since it's for a brand which is very close to me."

To Bring Different Genres

He added, "Coke Studio brings together very different genres of music just like brand Coca-Cola, which brings people together. Also as a songwriter I have tried to express what I feel about the world today in these songs - faith that there is basic goodness in all of us and that will never be lost."

Rahman Unveiled Zariya

Rahman unveiled his Song Zariya, a coke studio anthem, which will be available on Coke Studio website. A song from this season, Bismillah will also be available on the website on the occasion Of Eid. The song has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman.
