Diagnosed with cervical cancer in September 2023, she persevered through these difficult times, ensuring that her health concerns didn't disrupt the shooting schedule for the Star Plus show Jhanak.
DOLLY SOHI QUITS JHANAK FOR CERVICAL CANCER TREATMENT
Despite ignoring her health issue for 6-7 months, the situation has worsened to the point where she has made the decision to quit the Hiba Nawab-starrer hit drama. Revealing the same, Dolly Sohi told ETimes, "I have quit the show because I want to focus on my health. I was working during my chemotherapy, but now I am undergoing radiation and that takes a lot out of me. It was not possible to continue working for a daily soap and so I decided to quit. The production house has been supportive of my decision."
She added, "Due to radiation, I have been feeling weak and unable to do anything. I have to undergo more radiation cycles, which will make it difficult for me to work."
