SS Rajamouli's 2006 blockbuster Vikramarkudu will be remade in Hindi. Choreographer-turned-director Prabhu Deva is wielding the megaphone for the Hindi version of the film.
Prabhu Deva, who remade superhit movie Pokkiri in Hindi with Salman Khan, has roped in Akshay Kumar to play the protagonist, which was played by Ravi Teja in Vikramarkudu. The director has signed Sonakshi Sinha to play the female lead role in yet to be titled film. Maverick director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is producing the film.
However, Vikramarkudu has already been remade in Kannada as Veera Madakari and in Tamil as Siruthai. Both the versions became commercial hits. The makers of the Hindi version are expecting the same from Akshay Kumar starrer film.
