Richa Gangopadhyay, who was reportedly playing the second female lead role in Bodyguard remake, is not a part of the project. Producer Bellamkonda Suresh has cleared the speculations by saying that he has not signed her for the film.

Bellamkonda Suresh has said that the makers of the film never thought about casting Richa Gangopadhyay in Bodyguard remake. He added that they are planning to rope in a top actress to play the second lead role, which was played by Mithra Kurian in both Malayalam and Tamil versions.

Earlier, a few websites and a newspaper carried a story about Richa Gangopadhyay's inclusion to the cast. It also claimed that Venkatesh suggested her name, as he worked with her in Nagavalli. However, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Subbaraju, Ali, Venu Madhav Tanikella Bharani and others are in the cast.
